I did not count bananas.
I just excepted the larger bunches of bananas that were pictured had a value that equaled 4 and the smaller bunch on line 4, which looked about half the size of the other had a value of 2.
I thought it was a logic problem as well as math.
I guess, heck what do I know?

If we can't figure this out, how does anyone expect us to verify our TV's are adequate to tow our trailers?

Order of operations (banana X apple)+coconut= a Daiquiri or 42 which ever comes first.

I pulled this answer up the steep grade from my college remedial math class with my F-250 6.2 gasser no deisel power required. I didn't even stop at the Cat Scales to check the weight of my answer.

Ken you are exactly right, .....IF, there were 4 bananas and 2 coconut halves in that equation, .....BUT, there are only 3 bananas and 1 coconut half,.......look closely......

"serious math" No. We have clearly gone into the surreal now. Let's hunt down the OP and make him a general.

Just wondering if this thread will make another page or the thread will be closed to due to futility. This has to be one of the few threads that has got everybody popping off without offence to anyone.

Same 2 mile track
1st mile (half-way around) at 30 mph (1/2 mile per minute) takes you 2 minutes. 2nd mile (the other half of the track) is at 90 mph, (equals 1.5 miles per minute, or 1 mile every 40 seconds). So, now you have completed a circle of the two mile track in 2 minutes and 40 seconds (2 miles in 160 seconds, or 1 mile in 80 seconds, or 1 mile in 1.33 minutes, which is an average speed of 45 mph. But your goal was to average 60 mph.)

Same 2 mile track
1st mile (half-way around) at 30 mph (1/2 mile per minute) takes you 2 minutes. 2nd mile (the other half of the track) is at 120 mph, (equals 2 miles per minute, or 1 mile every 30 seconds). So, now you have completed a circle of the two mile track in 2 minutes and 30 seconds (2 miles in 150 seconds, or 1 mile in 75 seconds, or 1 mile in 1.25 minutes, which is an average speed of 48 mph.) But your goal was to average 60 mph.)

So, it does have to do with time as much as with speed, and I still contend that it can't be done, unless you have a theoretical vehicle that can do the second half of the track in NO time.
Add too all that.....a vehicle can't accelerate from 30mph to 120mph instantaneously......that would need more mph added to the speed needed to accomplish this feat.
Impossible to calculate without more fixed parameters.
