2004 38' question - Sport
Just bought a 38' used. There is an illuminated switch by the main door, behind the sink. It lights up when turned on, what is it for?
Also, is there a master switch for the bedroom, or only the individual light switches on each one?
Thanks.

Dare I ask what Model ??
sounds like the Illuminated switch is for the Hot Water Heater.. as for a master switch in the Bedroom, you should have a switch that will light Most of lights, But Not all.. Mine will light 2 lights out of the 3

The illuminated switch when on is for GAS only operation of the water heater, for electric operation, this switch should be off, the somewhat hidden switch outside behind the water heater side cover must be on, also the breaker in the converter control panel box must be on. Make sure by turning on the hot water faucet at the sink that there is water in the tank before turning on the water heater. You also may run both at the same time if you want, as they are totally independent systems of each other. Randy

If its a red, illuminated switch by the sink, it could be the water pump.

It is not the water pump or the water heater. They are both over to the right of the sink.
This one is a rocker switch just inside the main door, toward the sink. Turn it on, and it comes on red. But, cannot figure out what it does.
Thanks for the replies.

If I remember correctly, my Cedar Creek had seperate toggle switch like that for the tank heaters. I don't think it was marked, either. Just got told about it by the dealer.

By heaters do you mean for the fresh water to prevent from freezing?
It is a 38 CKBS model.

Thanks, but not step light. That comes on with the exterior light switch. I am thinking water tank heaters might be right.
If so, are they 12 or 120 volt? I would think 12v would drain batteries pretty quick, but the light comes on with only 12 volt, ie:, not plugged in it still comes on.

Boy, it's been a long time, and I don't have it anymore to crawl under and look. If I remeber correctly, all of the tanks had heaters on them- as you say to keep from freezing. Some where in my head is a voice saying one of the tanks was in an area that the heater kept warm, but I'm not sure anymore. Stupid voices!
