25PACK12 Toy Hauler

Hey, We've been looking at upgrading toy haulers, we have a 2004 KZ 26P now but the bathroom is so small, we really like the 25PACK12, or the Heartland Torque T30. I'm leaning towards the PACK, just looking for some feedback on these units, we've got a few more months before we purchase, hoping to be in by April so we can get a few small trips before our Sturgis trip in August.

Just be aware of weight limits and how close you will be to it. The Wolfpacks tend to go light on the axles and tires, and you could be running at limit or close to it. I'm not 100% sure but I think the Tourques use a bigger axle tire combination.

bought the 23pack15 on halloween last year. everything has been great! most of our camping we are outside so it makes up for lack of comfortable sofa or area to hang out / entertain inside. i had to fix a few factory issues but it was expected so no biggie. just some pinched lines, adjusting doors and the slide rubbing a spot in the floor. but all in all super pleased.

Not sure where the weight limit issue with Packs are as they range from approx. 2700-3900 lbs. of cargo carrying capacity.

Most people don't realize the advertised cargo carrying capacity is BEFORE water is added and all options (generator etc.). Just be aware of what you are loading in and plan accordingly. The 25PACK12 has c.c.c. of 2696 lbs.

- 329 lbs generator dry weight
- 126 lbs 20 gals fuel not including weight of tank etc.
- 1000 lbs golf cart
411 lbs is what you have left for food cloths and anything else. Like I said that is close to maxx and pushing the limits to be comfortable.

Our XLR has a 5067 lb c.c.c. same math leaves me with 2782 lb left and a good peace of mind that we are not overloaded. It doesn't take long to start pilling stuff in tools, grills, chairs... etc etc. Not trying to be rude just educate. I know not everyone options their campers the same. Just be aware of what you add on and what you intend to haul. Be safe everyone.

Okay, I'm with ya. We all need to be educated and plan accordingly. Myself, I'm not hauling a full load of water for most of my trips, just enough to make sure my hitch weight is where I want it. Generally 1/3 of a tank. If I'm dry camping, I'll fill once I get very close. Same with fuel. Fill it at the last fuel stop once I get off the highway.

But your point is well made. Just because you have physical room, doesn't mean you pack it like your moving out of town. And not just weight aware but balance aware if your loading real close to maximums.

That said, my 23Pack15 has 3898 CCC#. If I did fill my water and fuel tanks and using your numbers:

1613 lbs is I have left for food clothes and anything else. Actually likely picking up about 300-400 lbs not filling the tanks so somewhere around 1900-2000 left most of the time.

Available CCC# was a big factor in why I chose this unit along with it's spaciousness in the main living/garage area. Hauls plenty and once you unload, has plenty of room inside if you need it for guests and friends.
