Hi James. Welcome to Forest River Forums!

Please tell us what year and Floorplan you have. It's best to put this information into your Profile and/or Signature. You'll find these things in the UserCP link in the green bar in the top portion of your screen.

Extra fan????????

You have me puzzled as to why you need to add a extra fan to your oven/stove.

First off there is a chimney built on to the back of your stove oven and a vent hood with a fan above the oven. When using the stove top burners or oven you should open the window just a little that is located just behind the stove when turning the vent hood on. Make sure you open or unlatch the
outside vent closure so it can exhaust the hot air from the vent hood.
You see the RV's are built so air tight that when you turn the vent hood fan
on, it has no where to draw air to exhaust the heat from the stove. This is why it is imperative to open the window just behind the stove for a fresh air draw. Also you should not run the vent fan in the bath room at the same
time you are running the stove vent fan. The bath fan will overcome the
the vent fan for the stove therefore exhausting the stove heat through the RV all the way to the bath fan.

Good luck on you extra vent fan.

I hope this makes sense.
