Canadian Sport owners-love them or hate them?

Sorry I posted under the wrong heading before. We are in the process of purchasing a new 2008 Canadian Sport 385 CKTS toy hauler and were wondering how current owners like them. We have read about the issues regarding warranty work-is this still true, or is it more based on the dealer going to bat for the customer with FR on warranty issues? We did as much research as we possibly can and it seems as though it is well constructed. Hubby will be looking in every nook and cranny at inspection tomorrow when he picks it up. Any further information you can pass along would be much appreciated. Hubby is very handy so hopeful that he can fix most things that will crop up - more worried about any potential huge issues we may be facing. Any input?

Also, silly question, but does anyone know if the loft bed comes with a guard rail or is that purchased after market?

Linda

our forrest river xlr toy hauler has been excellent so far , yes there are minor flaws and adjustments needed( cabnet door hinges , mouldings ) but nothing too serious. a company that makes units with plywood instead of chip board, heavy aluminum framing is what we wanted. Our loft bed came with a cherry wood matched guard rail. The truck need to be legal is a dually and the ford is the only one that will get this done with gcvwr. If the rating plate on the unit says 18,000 pound then that is what they use to deduct from your trucks overall capacity and then add in truck and all weights in truck.Chev and Dodge can pull the units but not legally.

Canadian sport. I would be carefull in buying a new 2008 trailer unsold for almost 3 years. Make sure all is perfect before you take possession. Specially the brakes drums etc. for rust etc........Brakes drums and magnets dont likes sitting unused for a long period of times. I would ask them to remove all the wheels and go to a full inspection.

been thinking of down sizing, then we go racing and pop out those slides and I don't want to part with it...
love my trailer sooo much.

only problem is trying to find some place on line that gives me specs for escape hatch over loft bed.
