D ring tie down replacement questions

I just purchased a 2021 forest river Wolfpack 23pack15. I have read that the tie downs are terrible and pull apart first trip? I was interested in upgrading before a big trip next month. Any recommendations on what brand and model? Can I just replace existing? Same locations so I’m not destroying the floor what have you done?

Something to consider before replacing is that what you read about the tie downs failing first time out represent a small fraction of the rigs sold with no problems. I believe a good share of problems with tie downs is folks not securing the vehicle properly to the tie down allowing the suspension to jerk against the fitting. You might consider first trying before replacing. JMHO

I will be making about a 1600 mile round trip just thought I better look at options for a couple of the main d rings. I thought the issue was they are not a complete D they are a C shape clamped on and they open up going down the road under pressure.

Different toy hauler here but, I'm guessing, similar tie-downs. I've transported my Gold Wing on a 1500+ mile trip with no problems. That includes over several mountain roads and a couple of too-close turns over curbs.

Awesome thank you for the feed back I guess it sounds like I will run the factory D rings. No reason to make a hassle for myself if I do not need to. This new trailer has came with a long list of broken parts from the dealer no reason to work on something not broken. thank you.

Thought I saw a FR factory video that stated the “D” ring screws went into the frame. Any truth to what I think the video said?

on mine it looks like the floor is supported by wood stringers front to back....the D rings are screwed into these wood stringers. You can see the stringer under the silicone stuff the factory used for some reason.
