Estimated amount of time?
How long roughly will 100 gallons of freshwater last?

The answer really depends on how tight you want to limit the usage. It will last for quite a while if used only for drinking and cooking. Showers and dish washing uses the most.

We bought a new 1976 Golden Nugget tt which had a 75 gal fw tank. We took it out for a weekend and set up on a Fri. night and Sat. afternoon we were out of water. After that lesson, we could go a week on it with 2 adults and 2 small boys. You just have to learn to conserve.

I agree. Just trying to get an average. On our first trip my wife didn't realize the shower has a switch on it to stop the water while you lather up. Needless to say she was wondering why she ran out of hot water... It was a weekend trip so we were fine. But we have a week long trip coming up in 5 weeks.

With good management 100 gallons should last a 3 day weekend. Arriving on Friday and leaving on Monday.

We have a 42 gallon fw tank and can go 4 or 5 days if we conserve. 2 adults and 3 kiddos (all girls, 2, 9, 11)

I have gone 9 days on 60 gals and still had some left over. Management is the issue. A quart for washing a full sink of dishes and quart to rinse. Toilet flushes average about a pint to a quart. Baths, a gal to wash and a gal to rinse. Coffee pot, [priority] a pint a day. Cooking is up to each person but never used more than a gal a day. To each his own way, but waste is easy.

My wife won't let me have a gal to wash and a gal to rinse me in the shower. She's funny that way.

Depends if everybody in your crew understands the word - conservation --- 😳. Now my wife does not know how to conserve water so 100 gallon would probably last less than 2 days - no kidding ---- 😛. While if it myself and 2 buddies along we can make 50gal last 4 days -- go figure

Wow. Some of these estimates seem 'really' high to me for being "conservative". I'm a single and with a 36 gallon tank and a 40 gallon bladder in the back of my TV.. that's easily a month in conservation mode. 2 weeks if I'm just "happy go lucky" with the water and doing laundry.

Hopefully my wife will not use as much as she does at home.... I don't want to have to leave and find water somewhere or even have to dump the tanks.

Water usage -dishwashiing
saw a neat device at our local RV show. A small reicrulating pump and faucet you use to rinse washed dishes. So if you have 1 sink, you wash in it, and put a small amount of water in a separate container(ie dishpan, or something similar. The pump pulls the clean rinse water up and out a spout you rinse under. It just recirculates the same rinsing water, so very little usage. Can't remember the name, but is was under $100.

You need to teach her how to take a navy shower. She can use a pan of water when shaving legs to conserve. Washing dishes is my biggest water issue. Use a half sinful and limit dishwashing to once a day. Rinse multiple utensils together. Use more paper products. It was hard for me to learn but the grey tanks were more of a limiting factor to us then fresh. With water conservation we could make a 40 gallon grey last a weekend. We now have 80 gallon grey and haven't camped longer than 3 days in a row but weren't full at the end of it.
Ps- get an oxygenics shower head. It gives better water pressure and uses less water.

We have always camped in a pop up, so we naturally conserved water. If there are facilities close by, use that for showering and toileting. Otherwise, take a Navy shower and "if it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down". We would often cook in an electric skillet, especially breakfast items. I then would add cold water and heat it in the pan, add dish soap, and use this to wash dishes. By the end, the skillet is pretty clean. Use another tub with a bit of fresh water for rinsing. No need to recirculate water - just dip it in and swish it around. Use paper products when possible. Conserving water is easy if you pay attention to what you are using it for.

Here's one another question. How long will two 30lb propane tanks last?
