Exterior dimensions...

We have a Cherokee Wolf Pack 24pack14+, but really a question anyone can answer...Do the exterior height dimensions for TT's usually include the stuff mounted up top, like the A/C unit? Or, short of somehow measuring myself, do I just need to add about 1.5 ft to the published exterior height?

I'm not positive of the answer and if it's like most things in the RV industry, I'd say there is likely no standard, consistent way manufactures do it. I've done like you and just added 1.5' to the published 12.5' for my trailer (I checked just now and your's is showing the same) and stay away from anything under a 14' clearance to be safe. I guess one day I'll remember to put a tape to it while I'm hitched but until then, that's my number to watch for.

Sounds good. A couple of days ago I watched that video that shows about a hundred different box trucks and some RV trailers running into a low clearance bridge...not pretty

As said above, I don't think there's a standard for what's included in the factory height statement. However, our RV is stated as being 12' 3" and I've actually measured it several times and sitting level it measures almost exactly 12' 3" to the top of the A/C which is the highest point on the RV. The highest point on the roof itself is about 6" to 8" lower than that.

The best thing to do is rig up a way to measure it yourself and actually see what it measures.

FYI, the legal height for any vehicle without a special permit is 13' 6".

There probably isn't any standard but generally if it is an option, even a required option it is probably not included. If it is standard then it is probably included.

Oh and FYI.

If your RV doesn't ride level when hooked up, it's best to measure it when it's hooked to the TV just to make sure you get an accurate 'running' height.
