Hitch Weight

Hi,

We just purchased a new Wildwood 32SRV 5th wheel toy hauler and are really enjoying it. I haven't had a chance to get it weighed yet but was wondering if having two motorcycles in the garage in back would make any significant change to the hitch weight. The motorcycles total weight is about 1000 lbs and my guess is that it might take some weight off the hitch but don't know if it would be much. Anyone know?

Yes they will take some weight off the pin, if they are behind the axles. It works like a "teeter - totter" with the axles being the pivot point.

Thanks for your reply windrider. The bikes will be just behind the axles. I think I will weigh it both with and without the bikes to see exactly how much difference they make.
