Xlr 29qbx

Hey everyone, we had purchased a new 2021 xlr boost 29qbx. When we load our Polaris rzr into the back garage we experience severe swaying at highway speeds. We have tried loading the rzr forward and backwards with no change in swaying. The dealer has upgraded our weight distribution hitch to a 14k, lowered the front of the camper 2 extra inches and has put summo springs on our f250. Forest river has made multiple suggestions about adding weight to the front and it hasn’t been enough and doesn’t make any difference. We are running out of ideas and first river is giving us the run around. Does anyone else have issues with this model? Any help would be appreciated.

Have you weighed your rig with the RZR and then weighed your tongue wight? the tongue weight should be somewhere around 10 to 12% of the total weight. Are you running any type of sway system.? If its the friction type make sure it is tightened as tight as you can make it without using some sort of cheater bar. JMHO

Without the rzr the tongue weight is 1350 and with it loaded it drops to 925, we have the sway bars that have been adjusted multiple time, we have spent lots of time at the dealership doing test drives after each adjustment, the manufacturer told us it was happening because we didnt purchase the generator so we test drove the same trailer with a generator and it performed the same and the tongue weights where almost identical, they also suggested we drive around with a full grey water tank and the trailer still sways into the other lane of traffic, now today forest river suggested we loaded up the bed with up to 30 cases of water to get enough tongue weight.

The sway begins around 50 and as soon as you hit 60 it starts swaying so bad that it goes into the other lane of traffic, last week at the dealership one of the sales guys was driving our truck and camper and he didn’t even want to see what it would do over 65 mph.

Loading the bed of the truck will not help with tongue weight . it's clear your problem is not enough tongue weight . you either get it up to 1200 to 1300 lbs or sell the rzr it weighs to much and removes to much tw . I have a 29 hsf th . with a 900 lb bike in the back and experience 0 sway with 1200 lbs of TW ... adjusting the WDH will not help nor did the sumo springs for the truck . TH should sit level or slightly nose down when hooked up and 12 to 15% of weight on the tongue

Is this a crew cab? A 4wd? A reg cab? A long bed? A short bed? Lifted? Surely you can give a better TV description?

Hate to assume but are ALL tires inflated to max cold PSI? Does the trailer have garbage china bombs? Are you using dual sway controls on both sides of trailer? Has the trailer suspension been checked for any problems?

First. I suggest you get very acquainted with your local truck scale.

Get your trucks axle weights.
Get your unloaded combination weight and weight on each axle.
Get your loaded combination weight and weight on each axle.

Be sure and properly set up the WDH and dual sway control bars. Load the front trailer compartments with all your extras. I bring extra propane tanks, spare tire, spare parts, and many tools, all in the front compartment.

Load the Razor as far forward as possible.

Can you post a pic of your loaded combination?
