That is amazing. We dodged a great big bullet with this storm. Prediction was for up to 18". We may have gotten 4. Sun is out melting it as I type this. All the shoveling is done, and I got the part of the fallen cedar tree that was on the deck off of it. Now it is time for a cold one.

WOW! Sure glad we aren't there. It's 60 degrees and sunny here today just outside Seattle. Our spring has started early.

Just check the weather, they are calling for 3 to 6" Wednesday. Came in two hours ago from trying to get things clean up but had to stop, snow blower is too small to handle this wet stuff. More action with the shovels tomorrow.

Great pics everyone. I am soooo glad they missed the accumulation projection for us. We had about 5". The sun came out yesterday afternoon and everything started melting. All the roads are clear. I don't even have to drive the Suburban to work tomorrow.

Wish I was but on WBAL radio I heard it on the way to work. I have plenty of gas for the snow thrower so I'll deal with it when it gets here. 12" won't seem like much after the 26" plus this weekend.

Just a few more pic after the clean up
Pic#1- Looking out of the back of the garage door to the yard, the snow is above the door.
Pic#2- Is the front of the house after they plowed, as you can see how high the snow is at the curb, it was left that way in front of my driveway this all had to be removed by hand. It was pack tight and not easy to do. I was out there for 7 hours just trying to get my driveway cleared when this happen. I ended up paying my son and three of his friends $25 buck each to get this area clear, I was just couldn't do any more.
Pic#3 & #4- In the 30 years I have lived here this the first time I have seen this type of equipment on my street with a V-plow, the last time they had a bucket on the front.
Pic#5- Is when they plow the snow in front of the driveway.
There's not much one can do when there is this much snow.
and now I hear there is another 6 to 12 comming......That's it we are heading South..........

At lunchtime WBAL TV showed our area in the 18" to 24" band of snow starting tomorrow and another possibility of snow again next Monday. I do believe we have enough. Somebody find that groundhog, five more weeks of this kind of weather and this snow will still be here in May.
I did have to chuckle, someone in Edgewood Maryland is selling a Maryland Snow Ball on ebay with Free Shipping.

I did not leave the snow against the door long enough to fine out, but I am sure if it started to melt water would most likely collect in the track.

6 to 12" forecast for here. Kim, looks like N.Va. and Maryland are going to beat us again. I will gladly take this defeat graciously.

Holy cats! Cool pics guys. Especially Charlies pic. of the walkway lights under the snow, love that one. Sun is out here for a few days and we will be taking advantage of it to get the motorhome down to the shop for a front end alignment tomorrow. Will be able to get it out and back without it getting wet. I don't want to wash it any more than I have to. With the FEA done will be ready to get out for a camping trip hopfully soon.
Keep warm you guys and be careful if you have to be out in that stuf.

HEY! If you are shipping snow for free, give the 2010 Winter Olympic organizers a call, they'd probably take you up on that offer!
