2014 Sandpiper 37RKOK

We've been on the fence with floorplans for much too long and found the Sandpiper 37RKOK. This may be what we're looking for. We're a family of four, me, DW, DD and DS. I've never really been taken with the bunkhouse floorplans since that seems like it'd be wasted space after the kids are grown. We'd drop the recliners and add a second fold out couch. Is anybody familiar with this unit and/or any thoughts on the rear kitchen layout. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

I wouldn't rule out bunkhouses completely. Don't know the ages of your children, but we have daughters 6, 16 & 17, and the bunkhouse on the 365saq works out great for us. Our 2 oldest will bring friends camping, and they hang out in the bunkhouse all the time and have plenty of room.

Where do you put my adopted granddaughter?

Haven't completely ruled out the bunkhouses, just looking for alternatives. Kids are 14/16. Just wondering what you do with the bunkhouse after kids have left. Dealers have all said "TRADE!" I'd like to think that I'd get more than 5-6 years before needing to do that.

We often camp with extended family, even when the older kids don't go, so the bunkhouse is almost always used. For us, it makes sense. I see your dilemma though. I have seen where a bunkhouse was converted into an office for one couple.

OC, the princess sleeps wherever she wants, and it's usually right in the middle of the king size master bed.

I think this RV is a great layout. I AM concerned though about the rear kitchen as that is the area that gets the most joshing around when being pulled. All those appliances might not play nice. Anybody have any experience with this kind of layout. I really really like this RV and am on the fence about getting one myself.

I recently purchased this unit and i love it. I bought it at an rv show here in Canada and lots of different units from different manufacturers to compare to. I went over the unit with a fine tooth comb and found no problems. I really like the big open space in the unit. Great for those rainy days. I also really like the dinette which has plenty of room for big and over weight people such as myself. Most dinettes are cramped for room when you go to sit in the chair. This is not the case on this unit. Also the outside kitchen is more functional for me because all i want in an outdoor kitchen is a fridge for my beverages. a stereo for music, and a tv to watch my nascar on sundays. Microvave and sinks are of no use to me at all and would not be used by us. Overall im very pleased with the unit and the whey it is set up.

I to share a concern about the rear kitchen. The rear of the Rv does bounce around a bit. As for the bunkhouse, I agree with you regarding how long it will be usefull. IMHO, RVs are to small to chop up with extra walls and in our case the grandkids are not with us that much, they are all old enough to have girl or boy friends. The days have passed when you could take one of them and a friend fishing etc. Good Luck
