We have a Rockwood 2318g Pop up and love it. We had a few minor issues but all were either fixed by dealer(CW in Hanover pa) or I fixed it myself. Very happy Rockwood campers! Good luck with the new unit.

Forest River’s quality is commensurate with their products price points.

We've been very happy with our Sabre. Couple small things like a broken cord on the hallway day/night shades and a stripped galley faucet handle were our only problems so far. Our dealer ordered replacement parts and I did the simple repairs myself.

OP, keep in mind our society has evolved such that people are quick to point out the bad quickly and loudly, but rarely shout out the good experiences! I rarely admit this, but I have a minor in sociology... Further, many new-to-campers don't have a very good barometer as to what to expect at each price point especially when comparing items crafted to save weight versus more familiar residential standards.

I consider myself a happy Forest River owner, and I am also a repeat owner having owned now three campers made by Forest River including having owned a 2008 Shamrock 21ss, sister line to the Roo, until late last season. DW and I bought a new Forest River - a 2015 Wildwood Heritage Glen Lite end of last season, and there's definitely increased quality as you step up in FR lines just like stepping up from a Chevy to a Caddy but both still a GM.

Do I have gripes? Of course I do, but I am a guy who was brought up in construction, worked construction and trained and worked as a mechanic to put myself through a decade of school to earn my engineering degrees. So, yup, I could do it better but I also know it would cost a heck of a lot more to build! Further, this is not just Forest River but every camper maker out there. I'd like to see the entire industry have better focus on developing uniform quality control standards and practices. Further, the way dealers work, which is NOT AT ALL like the automotive industry, is a broken element of the business that, if you look at many complaints, are a huge source of owner frustration.

I think the perspective you should adopt is that YOU feel in love with a camper that fits you at this point and purchased it. You WILL enjoy that camper! You SHOULD expect to have some issues with your camper over its life. You WILL have the resources of THIS forum and others like it to educate yourself to not only sort out those issues but to proactively identify them. You WILL make lasting memories that far exceed the bad experiences that happen from time to time provided you do use the resources available to you.

Happy camping and many wonderful adventures to you!

I have purchased 4 FR products over the years. My last purchase I had to go through the "1st year blues." My TT had to be returned to the factory, but overall my dealer and FR(providing transport) took care of me.

Enjoy

When I bought my Aviator, I expected no more problems with it than I had with my trucks, cars, boats or anything else that I paid big bucks for when they were brand new. Big surprise! I also expected product support equal to the other products I paid big bucks for. Big surprise!

Im on my second FR and second Palomino and we love(d) both of them!
Just went to a boat and rv show and we couldn't find anything that we liked better, for what we need than our Sabre 36qbok! Thank God, since we haven't even had it a year yet!

We've had a couple problems that are getting fixed, but everything has issues from time to time. While very frustrating at first, sometimes they aren't as big a deal in the grand scheme of things.
But I'm young, (compared to most on here) and this is probably far from my last camper, so im not gonna sweat it too much....I've got too much else to do!

We have an FR and we are very happy with it. There were a few small problems at first but our dealer got us the parts and we replaced the two items. IMO having some mechanical ability is the key to being a successful TT owner. If you are able to keep your TT out of the dealer's service shop you will be a much happier owner. This may not seem fair but I believe it to be reality with all TTs, not just FR. Enjoy your new TT.

We have a 2008 Surveyor, and still loving it. A few minor issues when we got the trailer, but were fixed by the dealer.

We've had our palomino sabre for going on 4 years and although we've had minor issues sabre has taken care of them no problem.
The customer care and attention we received from sabre has been wonderful!
In a few instances they've went above and beyond our expectations!
Very pleased with our purchase from sabre!

I will proudly state that I am a FR customer! I've had three FR products, an old Roo hybrid, a 2011 Puma 30kfbds, and a 2015 Rockwood 8327SS S.U. The old roo was a good camper even for being one of the first hybrids. It was perfect for our needs at the time. Nothing really went wrong
The Puma was my problem child with misaligned axles, wiring problems, and a longer-than-liked punch list of problems. But you know what? FR took my camper back to the factory fixed everything to better than new and upgraded many things on my TT! New fancy wheels, new tires, new axles, added interior upgrades, added a fold up countertop extension, diamond plate bumper, etc, etc.. I was left more than satisfied.
The Rockwood has been beyond our expectations! We camped 49 nights this year, we always had at least 4, but sometimes up to 11, kids with us (and you know kids destroy everything, right?) and the rig was flawless. We took it all over Michigan, down to Myrtle Beach for 1 1/2 weeks, put thousands of miles on it....and it doesn't need a thing! WE LOVE IT!!
Go pick your camper up, do a THOROUGH pdi, and have faith that FR will make everything right if something isn't to your standards.

Happy Camping! --BiigDaddy

We are coming up to our 1 year anniversary with our 21FBRS. We have had it back to the dealership once for an issue with one of the drawers falling out. They took care of it promptly. I am happy with the quality of the product and the support of our dealer.

We are happy campers.

We've had a Rockwood TT for 4 years now and love it, had very few issues. Minor things crop up from time to time, but easily fixed. Forest River builds a great product in my opinion!

I agree w/ dcheatwood. The Trail Express tires suck. We got rid of them. We have a 2013 Windjammer 2809W and overall it has served us well. Have probably towed it 18,000 miles with few problems. Saying that all hell will probably break loose this summer. Hope not.
