Death trap

I bought a new 2017 sun seeker 2400s. I love my rv. Unfortunately the steps to go out the door are a death trap. I travel with 2 boxer dogs about 68lbs a piece. While I was at work they were playing. I know because their food was all over and their water bowl was tipped. Unfortunately my one boxer must have lost his footing and fell down the step getting stuck(wedged) between the door and step. Very small space and he couldn't move. By the time I got home he was gone. Apparently suffocated. Don't know what to do about this but please please if you travel with dogs, watch out for this. I am heartbroken!!! If I would have had any knowledge of this, would have never bought that model of rv.

So sorry for your loss. We travel with 2 smaller dogs so I will have to pay more attention to a possible hazard. Hope your post helps other members from the same situation.

So sorry for your loss.

We put a child gate up across the steps to keep our dogs from running out when we leave. Not sure if this is an option for you or not. If not others may have other ideas to keep the other dog out of this area.
