FR Dexter Axle Recall

Anyone else get contacted about this? I was actually contacted by a rep from Dexter, not FR.

They’re supposedly helping locate a closer service center to check it out for me so I don’t have to drive back to the dealer we bought it at (2hrs away).

Dexter axles called me and was VERY helpful. They sent a template for me to check my axles and they were actually good. Don’t need replacement.

Had they needed replacement though they were gonna send the new axles to my local shop and have them replaced at no cost.

I took mine in to the dealer to check it out. They checked my trailer out and said that mine, although on the recall list, didn’t have the problem they were looking at, and called me to take it home. It was not a big deal, but like the other guy said, if I had needed it, it would have been taken care of for free at the dealer.

Got the call from a Dexter Rep on Monday. She sent the instructions and template and I checked mine Monday evening.

Sure enough, both axles will need to be replaced. I sent pictures and they confirmed it today.

My new axles are on the way and will be here next week. I'm going to swap them myself (pays 2.5 hours).

Dexter does not want the old axles, so you'll have lots a spare parts!!

I've been impressed with Dexter so far. Anyone else?
