Furniture upholstery material

This is what happened to my 2013 forest river Berkshire within 5 years.

I am sure who ever bought a RV with some vinyl seats and other furniture that feels like a very soft leather. I guarantee you will have to have it Reupholstered. The material has a foam backing on it. When your motor home is at home sitting and is hot inside, the foam deteriorates under the vinyl and the vinyl separates causing the facing of the vinyl to release. I have enclosed a picture what happened to my seats. you will have to pay between two and three thousand dollars to fix. Hope this helps anyone buying a new motor home, do not accept the vinyl furniture. It will cost you in the near future.

Of course they would say that because the manufacture of the material would be the responsible party, Had I known that they had foam in between the vinyl and backing I would have never bought it. What happens is the heat dries out the foam and it disintegrates and the vinyl separates the same way that a headliner separates in a car.
