I had the same question. The answer I got was that development of the 12 volt fridge started in 2018 and became the standard just recently because of propane fires with the old ones??? Personally, I can see the 12 volt units saving a lot of time and money with the factory installation. Of course it will cost US more when it comes time to repair. My unit has worked very well after learning how to use it. Good luck

Now if some engineer could come up with a remedy for the 12 volt fridges in the Geo Pros and the E-Pros for not cooling would be fantastic. Or has someone done figured that out and I missed the posting. My Magic Chef in my 2021 Geo Pro will not drop a degrees below 45 but the freezer will freeze ice cream so hard you can't chew it if you wanted too. It sure would be nice to have some ice cold Milk in my fridge but it never happens.
Has anybody gotten a recall notice for their 12 Volt refrigerator? Someone on another site got one for her 2024 Rockwood 2606WS. She posted it, but too small to read.
Yes,i saw it on another site,im picking up my 2024 rockwood 2906bs on monday,so i called the dealership they said yes it was on mine,and they have it scheduled to take care of when they prep my unit before delivery.
