Micro-lite bumpers and bike carrriers> suggestions welcomed!
 I cannot figure out how to get a good bike carrier on our 2011 Micro-lite. I need something that will fit on that bumper, or somehow between trailer and truck. I have a trike and a two wheeler, need suggestions!

bikes on an ultra-lite's bumper will end up bouncing down the road.
you have a truck, why aren't you using the bed?
when you say "trike", do you mean a child's trike?
then they should fit in the trailer. many simply cover the bikes with blankets and transport them inside the trailer, especially with only two.
besides, never seen a bike rack with a trike on it.
there's an expensive rack system called Toppoprails, made in Canada, that mounts to the trailer's A-frame. your tow vehicle has to be able to handle the extra tongue weight but it's the best trailer-bike rack system out there.

No, not a child trike, a recumbant trike for adults. It folds up, has three wheels. The other is just a 2 wheeler. Not fit in trailer! TerraTrike Rover Tricycle!

at 45lbs. it definitely will be too heavy on the bumper. plus, a traditional bike rack wouldn't work on a recumbent, since there no triangle frame.
what kind of bike rack works with a folding recumbent, a wheel-tray style?
you also haven't said why you can't use the truck's bed.

we have to have the cover on, we carry dialysis supplies with us, and yes it is alot of stuff. We need to have it protected from the elements. I was thinking of using a bed extender, so could use the tailgate down, that might be the most inexpensive way to go. I am a dialysis patient, and I do it camping, with Nxstage, mobile dialysis machine. My wife hooks me up and we carry all of our supplies to camp. I have to use a recumbant bike, have a bad back so no 2 wheeler for me! I am sorry not clear, was throwing around ideas for carrying our bikes with us especially to the coast!

Any chance it would fit inside the trailer on the bed or in the shower with blankets as padding?

No, wheel base is too wide, and do not want to risk the bathroom being banged up. I will do some measuring and see if the extend the bed option will work, it might be the ticket! We have the dialysis machine in the trailer that is enough for that, it weighs in at 75lbs. I have been on the etrailer site and that looks promising. Thanks for the input though!

I forgot about the entry door - is it wide enough to even fit through? I take it that removing the wheels while traveling is not really an option either.

there's always the front hitch receiver idea. not sure how long the recumbent is though.

A Bicycle and an Adult Tricycle on the Micro-Bumper
I put the spare tire and the wheels from the Tricycle in the truck. I've built the brackets from scrap hardwood flooring, they go on the bumper with a few wingnuts and slip off easily. The bicycle sits in a hardwood bracket mounted on a small piece of angle iron mounted to the spare tire bracket.
We tow about 5000 miles round trip to Florida each year, this will be our 3rd trip this year with these brackets, they work very well.
