Thoughts and prayers requested

Today my alma mater, Virginia Tech experienced a tragedy of untold proportions. A gunman began shooting, first in a dormitory and later a classroom building, killing at least 32 students and faculty members and injuring at least that many more. The story continues to unfold but reports are the gunman was killed.

My local news reports 31 killed including the shooter. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

I've been following this event today.
Tragic. (I can't think of a more exclamatory word to describe it at the moment)
Thoughts and prayers are outbound.

Kim I'm so sorry! We've been watching the news reporta with horror and tremendous sadness. Our oldest son is the age of those poor students and I can only imagine the pain. Only last year we suffered the same in Canada at Dawson College.

What the hell is going on?
