Why so slow?

Does anyone know why it takes FR and it's subsidiaries so long to up-date their sales/models web pages?
We see new models advertised by dealers but when you go to the manufacturers web sites it's as if they don't exist.

good question. Seems like it's always been that way though, even though you should see them online first.

Been like that for at least the past 10 years.
Many other manufacturers are just as bad.

Yes Bob if you look at their page it does not even show the "Compass", but it is not the only one by far, I liked the Columbus but after that factory tour it scared me off, they look great but I don't want the fastest assembled unit.

They all are Don... Not sure where you get a handbuilt unit except at a small manufacture like Northwood or some high end 200k units.

I found the cedar creek factory tour different, they were building steady but not at race car speed, I believe it is because of the piece type work, I worked for a time in assembly and the shift was eight hours not get it done and your out of there, it does make a difference.

I think it is just disorganized and poorly planned lazyness. I complained 4 times to FR that they kept only the 2014 Georgetown XL brochure on their website while they were selling 2016 models, and the feature details were for the 2015. Then this summer I was told by a FR rep that they were going to totally skip info on their website for the 2016 Georgetown XL because they were going to make major changes in the 2017 models and they were too busy with that. Then just last month, September, all of a sudden they change the 2014 brochure to the 2016 one and update the feature listings. I am planning to buy a 2017 XL which should be available to order by next April, but no telling when they will publish the details on it.

I was told that they purposely keep model information delayed on the website to support dealers with old inventory. Not sure if it is true but I could see the logic. If you are looking at a 2014 on a dealer lot not sure they would want all the information for the 2015 available so easy. You could find it but you would have to dig.

This day and age I am also surprised their internet information is not up to date and a fancy dancy web site. I would imagine a large percentage of buyers do their research via computer before hitting RV Shows and dealers lots.
