The PUG seller indicated that a method to attach velcro to the Roo is using the double sided tape that is used to hold automotive stuff on the exterior of a car

Couple of questions. 1) Why isn't the bunk end material already made this way? Top being reflective. My guess is the manufacturer doesn't want to be held accountable in a lightning strike. Does it sound rediculous?

2) Are these pop up gizmos made with a metallic material or is it just a reflective cloth?
Thoughts anyone?
I'm very interested in buying these.

Suggest you call PUGs and talk to Bob Pitney.
He should be able to answer your questions.

As far as manufacturers, it's probably cost.
Do you know of any way to make vinylized canvas so they can reflect heat?

I've never seen any vinylized canvas like that.

Australian hybrids have hard lids that cover the tent ends, to protect them from the sun.

Thanks for the reply bikendan. I think your right it's most likely cost.
I would gladly pay a bit more for my hybrid if it came with a system that protected the bunk ends from the damage of the sun, not to mention keeping it cooler.
Anyhow it's a mute point, these PUGS seem like a great product I'll definitely pick up a set for next year's camping season.

If you're handy at sewing, you can buy three 5x8 all-weather/sportsmen blankets and make your own.
They cost around $14 each.

Since the front canvas is larger, you have to cut one and sew a piece on another.
