Hybrid Bed Damage

Folks,
I Own a 2007 Rockwood Roo Hybrid. The bed at the front had been leaking and the wood had been exposed to the water and is rotted. it needs to be replaced.
is this an easy fix? is it just regular Home Depot Plywood. Help.... i believe part of the fix will be replacing the black bumpers around the outside seal, but i dont think this is too difficult..

The bunk door is made of luan not plywood. You still might be able to order a bunk door from FR parts department but shipping is expensive.
Not sure what you mean by black bumpers. Can you post pics?

I believe this is the best video I have seen about repair/replace bunk end.

https://youtu.be/82cx9cmZ1n0

There is also discussion here

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...nt-168228.html

and a replacement door was purchased from FR and shipped inexpensively on this thread...

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ml#post1885590

The black rubber seal can be gotten from FR bought by the foot.

Just to clarify... there are different styles of tents and how they fit on the ends of the bunk and on the bunk latches... depending on the year of assembly... understand this when watching the videos.

Many owners have put up gutters above the bunk doors to help keep water from intruding and there are dozens of threads on here about that... although if seals are properly cleaned and maintained I for one have not found it necessary to add a gutter.

I hope this info can start you on your way to fixing or replacing your bunk.
