Just put a down payment on a New Roo

Well, after contemplating a new truck, which is still a few years away, and a new camper further away, I decided to upgrade/downsize. The Roo 21BH is on the market and we are working on a deal for a 2015 Roo 183. Payments will remain about the same. The 183 is 1 foot shorter, and weighs about the same, but so much room with the fold out bunks instead of the bunkhouse. It is dealer stock, so we won't miss any camping. Wish we bought this unit first, but we weren't sure about hybrids. Julie is so excited that she can bring a friends or friends now.

Working on the finances and hopefully selling the current one and not trading it in. Pictures will come soon enough.

Congrats! I always enjoy seeing people go from a hard side to a hybrid just as we are. It seems the vast majority do the opposite, which I completely understand as well.

I am really excited about some of the unique assets that hybrids offer.

I curently have a Roo 21BH, which has bunks in the back and flip out canvas bunk in the front. Only disadvantage of the 183 is our inability to turtle.

Credit union came through and we got the loan. Just about the same payment.

We have a 183. We love the third bunk. It seems so bright and open when everything is unzipped. We have 2 teenagers and there is plenty of room for all of us on a rainy day.

This will be our 3rd season with our Roo. So far we have put the sheet of plastic on the side of the cabinet in the bathroom to protect it from water damage. We changed the base of the table. The table was wobbly and would tip if you leaned on it. My husband took the folding frame off and attatched 1/4 inch finished plywood to the underside of the table. He then put 2 base flanges on the floor and underside of the table. Then we use stanless steele tubes for the legs. The table is still a little wiggly but not like it was. We put a nice shower head on too. This year our goal is to get a nice grill and pugs. We bought a cover this past fall and I was glad we did. Eventually I would like to chage the cabinet that is under the TV to something larger.

Waiting for my 183 to be built. I have 3 college age kids, so this Roo will probably suit us fine. We have had a Rockwood Popup for 10 years. it's time to have more room and a bathroom! Does the camper cover keep the water of the camper to prevent the leaks I hear about? I ordered one with the new Roo.

Choo Choo, I had to look at your 183 pics, and that's what I ordered. No Safire pkg., so it's white with black trim. I was waiting to see what the outside would look like. Can't wait until May!

We are beginning our 3rd season with our 183. We really like it. Its just the DW and myself most of the time. We each get our own end bunk and use the side bunk for our junk. Haven't had any serious problems.
