I ordered this one, SCM2000BD, since it has the thermos carafe to keep the coffee hot longer. And though I never it come off in travels on my old htt, I wouldn't want to find the glass one shattered on the floor if I forgot to remove it. (PS. Glass = 12cups, thermos= 8cups)

Humm, I like that, where did you buy it from? I use an electric tea pot and do either a French Press or Pour over at the campground, might have to get another coffee pot type deal since I gave the other one away.

Parents had one of these Corning percolators when I was living at home many moons ago. Always loved the smell of the coffee percolating in the morning.

Thought of another mod for OC....plumb some water to the outside for the pot, and add a shelf for Mr. Folger to sit on.

Use the top of the unit to hold Mr Folgers & the filters. Use bottled water.

Soon as I get a minute, seen how I've got a new little compartment with a door, if I can fit it in, I'm gonna plumb water out in the 'pot' area. Was check'n out Pex fittings this morn.
