Shamrock 233 Total Loss

Our shamrock 233s hybrid travel trailer was deemed a total loss due to some damage in a thunderstorm. The insurance company has offered me more than I paid for it so I'm pleased. It was in immaculate condition and I'm thinking about repairing it. Does anyone have any recommendations for a repair shop who can get it repaired so that I can apply for a rebuilt title? We're located in Northeast Alabama. Thanks!

It would help if you provided more information as to what's damaged?

Sell for salvage and get a new camper. Spend your time traveling with family instead of repairing.

With that kind of damage, I would take the insurance $$$ and not look back.

I had a 5th wheel that was totaled by hail damage (tin siding) so it didn't require much repair to be completely usable. I took the insurance money, then bought it back from the insurance company with a salvage title. Then I sold it to a family member to use as security guard housing on private land. Had more than enough to buy a new replacement for myself.

But the damage on yours sounds too severe to be economically feasible to fix, even for a salvage title. Unless you just like fixing things yourself.

Double check to make sure you can get insurance on a salvage title. Alot of places wont insure it.

Agree. Almost impossible to insure salvage title.
