shamrock 26 rs support

Hi i have a 2008 shamrock 26rs hard slide (queen bed rear slide) now when the guy was giving us the run through at the dealership last year there was a pole that was telescopic he said that it was to go at the top of the slide to prevent it from going back out during travel..Now im not convinced because there was no place to put it on the top of the slide as it would rest against the trim and if it was adjusted tight enough the trim would come loose..

I came across a picture that showed this telescopic post went on the floor and under the slide obviously this makes more sense to me so it will keep the slide supported when it was in the trailer hopefully to keep the slide from flexing down when we travell..can anyone confirm that this is correct..

They are most likely Slide Locking Bars(for travel), as the salesman told you, but I(and many others) don't use them. As you said, they may damage the slide room trim molding.

our Roo(same as Shamrock)23SS side slideout came with 2 of the bars and there are stickers on the inside wall, above the slide, showing where to place the foot of each. the other end goes into a slightly indented spot on top of the inside of the slide's upper frame.

not sure if the rear slide's are different.
