Hi, there!
We purchased a brand new 2017 Rockwood Roo 23IKSS and are looking for any advice and information on stabilizer/sway control system to purchase. We drive DodgeRam 1500. Also, We live in Ontario, if that may help
Hello,
We bought the Curt Round bar weight distribution #17051 and one (the weight distribution allows to add two) curt friction sway control #17200 from etrailer.com.
After more than 6K miles, including traveling in Utah with high cross wind we can report that we had no problem at all.
The reason we bought it is stated on the report attached and we set it up according with the other report attached.
We pull a 2015 ikss with a Ram 1500 hemi. We use an Equalizer E 2 and have been satisfied with the setup after 3 years. We are pushing the limits of the e2 but it's been fine.

Thank you so much for the attachments! I briefly glanced at them but will take some time to study and understand it. Silly question.....are you Portuguese?!!

Here is an example of what I have. I like it because it's weight distribution and sway all in one. The downfall, turns are loud. . The rubbing of the anti sway bars can get anoying.

I have a Reese Straight Line Dual Cam and works with no complaints. Had since 2008 and is now on my second RV. Only one I've ever owned so can't compare with any other brands/styles. Congratulations on the new camper and welcome to the forums from NYS.

X2 ... also have Reese Straight Line Dual Cam with Sway Control. It is designed with Anti Sway built in so you do not need secondary anti-sway friction bar. Mine is also on 2nd trailer, in operation since 2006. No complaints.
Reese Straight Line Dual Cam - I've towed with generic weight distribution hitches and with friction sway control and I love the Reese. Before I got my pickup I was pulling our 3500+lb Roo with a little fore escape and while I wouldn't recommend that combination it pulled fine with the Reese. It's quiet and is easy to backup.
We also have a 2017 23ikss, we use the equalizer/fastway e2 on our 14 Silverado 1500. We pulled the TT this weekend in heavy cross wind with no problem. Then the deer tried to run in front of us and that's when I was convinced the hitched worked great!!

Wow, a Ford Escape, I have one of those too. But purchased the Ram to tow. Do you have to dis-engage with the Reese to make hairpin turns or back up?
