Air Force academy camping

Has anyone camped at the Air Force academy.
My son is stationed at Buckley in Denver and am thinking about going to Colorado next july.

Haven't been there myself, and can't remember if Dad stayed there or not. Anyway, here's some info if you are able to stay at the FamCamp at the Academy:

We didn't camp there , we lived near there. ABSOLUTELY camp near there. Garden of the Gods is a fantastic place to explore as is Cave of the Winds. Note on Cave of the winds - if your rig is longer than 42 feet you need to park at the bottom. One of my most favorite things in that area is the Pikes Peak Cog railroad. If your son is already stationed in Colorado, ask him to pop into a local hotel lobby and pick up one each of the various travel brochures and send them to you.
