I did tech school at Chanute in 1987, then worked avionics on C-130s at Keesler AFB in Biloxi Miss. Great times on great aircraft.

Iraq Airland mission as I recall. Right before an absolutely awesome random steep approach into Baghdad International.

The C133 - several fatal accidents involving them. They were sometimes seen at Dyess AFB, Tx bringing in Atlas missiles for the missile sites around Dyess. A very tight fit coming off the plane.

I was in the back on a couple of those combat approaches. Thanks for getting us in and out safely. GO ARMY

Got 2500 hours in the Herk. Loved it - very vesatile airplane. Great to see it still being used. My time was in E models flying for MATS/MAC - 64-67. C-141s after that for another 5500 hours. Tooling around the world in those flying trucks was the best job I ever had.
