Question for your former AF guys that went thru basic training at Lackland after I did in the early 60's - is the "Green Monster" building still there or has it been replaced with computers?

B47, I was in the Green Monster about two years ago for a new ID for the wife. I think it has been redone a few times and not sure what all they do there but last I knew it was still in use.

My past billet I worked for an American AF MSgt who was seconded to our Airforce Leadership Academy and I will never forget the first time seeing him in his gear when we went to the "Field" to do small party tasks in February in Ontario, Canada. He had on his "Mickey mouse boots" as he called them. You would think we were in the artic. We bashed each other, we laughed how he talked and he giggled how we spoke.... but like usual it was settled over a cold beverage and knee slapping when we got back to camp. Soldiers will be soldiers I don't care what uniform you wear.

As Team SGT of the 229th Pathfinder team, 1st Air Cav., I opened LZ Eagle right outside PK-17 on Feb. 13, 68 during the TET Offensive. Was wounded there on Feb 15. It was called LZ Sally before LZ Eagle.

MOS, AFSCS, Rating ??
Gentlemen,
First of all, thank you all for your service. I am well aware that my life would not have been the same growing up had it not been for the service of those before me.
I was in the Army from Sep 1990 - Mar 2013. I spent my entire enlistment as a UH-60 Blackhawk mechanic / crewchief.
I'm still pretty new to the travel trailer world. Looking forward to talking to some of you on here regularly. I'm sure you all have some great pointers and suggestions for my future trips. Take care.
Anson

SERE was a fun place. I was there from 97 to 2000 as a SERE Inst. Best tour, hands down. It wasn't as fun as a student though. Prospective Inst. tend to get a little extra attention. I tried my best to keep my head down and mouth shut. Didn't work, though. LOL
