When I was in SAC 1960-1964 I would always enjoy seeing Munitions Maintenance Squadron (MMS) guys upload/download the weapon into or from the B47 bomb bays and I believe they also handled the Rocket Assisted TakeOff uploading also.
Each move was made in accordance with strict procedures and was certainly a team effort.

Always happy to meet another bomber. As they say without 462's the Airforce is just another airline!

Yep,everything SAC was with strict procedures and a team effort even if the team was 2 people (2 man policy). Minuteman III missiles (1978-1987 Grand Forks AFB, ND).

Not my AFSC,but I believe the B47 BB only held one weapon. More than enough to do the job.
Nothing compared to the BUFF.

Yep - but considering the job we were doing,it had to be that way. Old man Lemay was the SAC Commander when I was in and while you might gripe about some of his directives, you always knew there was a good reason for them.

Actually, that's how the 461X0's referred to themselves when I was one, 45 years ago.
