That's quite an honor Youroo, I would keep it in a presentation case myself with the certificate framed above. My brothers was born on that day of the bombing. My Ma always said that is what put her in labor......

I served in the US Navy from 1971-1996. Best 25 years of my life. After I retired from the Navy, I work in the Environmental, Health, and Safety field for 14 years and fully retired 1/2013 at the age of 59. Time flies by so fast, so I am out and about seeing this good old USA in our 2013 Sanibel. Life is great!

US Army 18 years and still running strong. Won't leave until they make me go, hopefully at 30 or so. Wife is also active duty. It's been a busy decade for us both, hoping things slow down a little so we can go enjoy the new TT!
To us, and those like us....damn few!

Decided to join the sea service in '65 after being offered an all-expenses-paid trip to a lush jungle paradise in southeast Asia and ended up staying 'til '87. (Dad was Army SgtMaj. Grandad was Chief Radioman during the "big one".) Civilians will never understand the instant bond we all share no matter what service we were in. I think we were a better country when we were all required to give at least two years....

Retired Army. Miss the camaraderie with my fellow veterans. We all shared a common bond, the cold, the lousy food, the long days, rotten pay, and a brotherhood that those who never served will ever know. To all my brothers and sisters, SALUTE!
