What was your JOB while serving in the Military?

I had a simple job and kept focused on my partner who would tell me when something was not right ahead of us. Somethings he would rub his big head into my chest wanting some one on one time. But most of the time he would walk ahead of me or set next to me always searching and looking the forward area over. We did get lucky a few times finding what we had came out for. He was not much for words but had a way of letting you know what he wanted or was going on around us. We had two code names when needed, Handler & DogMan.

F/A-18 Aviation Electrician. And Plane Captain, also known by the lovely moniker, "turd shirt", on account of it's color when serving on a carrier.

Automotive Instructor, 4 yrs (Chanute AFB)
Supervisor Allied Trades, 4 yrs (RAF Upper Heyford, UK)
Early Retirement in '94 with 17 yrs.

Best thing I ever did was joining the Military, although I had no interest in doing so initially. But, when your boss finds out you were talking to a Recruiter on Friday and fires you on the spot. . . Monday morning with no job to go to, you go see the Recruiter again and enlist. And the rest is what? . . . HISTORY. Never was able to find that boss to thank him.

Be safe, but still have fun. Ron

US Army. Programmed and sequenced the countdown of nuclear ballistic missiles. We could dump multiple 400+ kt warheads on the Soviets in minutes.
