Since we got into RVing last year we don't ride as much. I have a 1998 Wideglide, a 2000 Ultra and a 1989 Honda Transalp. I ride all year in Virginia as long as there's no ice or snow and the roads aren't too salty. Being so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive make it a rider's paradise. I just realized I've been riding since the early 70s and on the street since '78. I'm getting old.

Blue ridge is a nice ride, I live in Benson AZ and I ride all year. I currently have a 95 Honda Goldwing with a 129,000 miles and just broke in. I'm 66 and been riding ever since late 50's with dirt bikes.

I'm as far from an expert on this as you can get but a couple of thoughts: 1 - get a small utility trailer big enough for the bike. They can come in handy for other things tool 2 - somehow have the hitch reinforced to hold more weight but I'm not sure its the hitch that is the problem - it could be the shifting of weight off of the front wheels.

My thought, I had bought a MC ramp to go into my hitch and had it reinforced from a friend of mine and hauled a Harley 1200 on it. It was ok but I prefer a small utility trailer. I don't have the old set up any more, I now have a forest river shock wave toy hauler. Which is the best set up for me.

1989 Harley 1200XL. My back and neck surgery last year left me with 8 titanium cages and poor balance control in my legs.I suspect my ridein' days are over, both on the scooter and the mules (which we have had longer than the bikes)

I had to go to a Trike in 2009 ( I'm disabled). Turned out to be an awesome move! My current Trike is a 2015 Harley Freewheeler. Recent trip to NW Arkansas with a group of 23. Most of them were unable to keep up with me in the twisties!

Black trike is my current ride. Red is a 2009 HD Tri Glide. I went back to a more traditional bike as I did not like all of the gadgets on the Ultra platform. And I like a little wind in my face.

Only in Summer

Was riding a Yamaha Virago 750CC. 1981 model, bought brand new and sold with under 10k miles. Now riding a HD Softail Deluxe, 2007. Love it but only in the summer. Haven't figured out how to bring it with when I have bicycles and kayaks in tow.

I had a 1999 RSV which I bougth in 2001 with only 10000 miles. I rode it untill 2014 when I decided I needed to go ahead and get something newre to hopefully outlast me. I bought a 2007 with 1200o miles on it and now have about 30000 on it. It is just getting "broke in good "!

Rode about everything started out on British bikes and dirt bikes. Spent a while on Harleys and crotch rockets. Now I ride a 2014 Goldwing.

I ride a Triumph Storm 1700 weighing in at 850lbs wet. I plan on shipping the bike to my Son's home in Florida and riding while we're down there for the winter

I ride a 2011 Kawasaki Vulcan Vaquero 1700. Wish it could go with us on trips but it's around 900 lbs and my bumper bike rack just won't hold it. hehe.

That's why I don't have a 5th wheel. I load my Goldwing into the truck, hitch up to my trailer and away we go. I found a used winch type bike loader to get away from using ramps when loading the bike.

Love to ride...
'17 Bmw R1200GSA (and the bumper sticker on the top case)
'14.5 KLR 650

The wife has a '16 Triumph Tiger 800 xrx and '11 Suzuki boulevard.
She started pestering me a couple years ago about getting a toyhauler...I had to give in.
