There is a kid at my son's high school who I keep seeing riding a motorcycle with a sidecar. I got one pic behind him at a red light the other day, but actually got a pic from the side today when I saw it in the parking lot.

It's a Ural brand which I am not familiar with, but it does look interesting

the Ural's with a side car sometimes have 2 wheel drive. its some sort of clutch mechanism they can engage that pulls power off of the back tire of the bike and applies it to the side car. wicked for offroading!

Spent the weekend camping and dualsporting in the Laurel Fork Wilderness. Super primitive and isolated campground located near Glady WV.

Been a while since last post:
So I figured it’s time for another.

I’ve had my Forrest River W/P toy hauler now for over 7+ years. Still going strong, no leaks, no problems. I’ve been all over the south probably 30k miles of camping trips. Although the graphics started curling up at edges so I removed most of them (need to buff out the gel coat to blend in the shadows from old stickers). Here’s a shot from a trip in TX a couple years back with the TW. And one before removing stickers.

Then last year I took the plung and got a class B. (Although I still have the toy hauler).
Along with moving from Louisiana to Mississippi.
Since all the kids have moved out, now it’s just me and it’s a lot easier traveling in the B.
Smaller house / Smaller camper: life is good!

Glad to see we've got a motorcycle forum with dualsport thread here! My username here comes from my love of riding dualsports on long gravel roads. Here are a couple pics from a trip on the Trans Taiga a few years ago on my WR250R:

Dipping our tires in the Arctic Ocean (James Bay is the southernmost extension of the Arctic Ocean)

Pretty typical Trans Taiga scenery

And doing the Trans Lab last year:

In case anyone is interested, here are my ride reports from Advrider:

Riding the most remote road in North America - The Trans Taiga Road

Trans-Labrador Highway solo on a WR250R

Now that we've got a travel trailer, I've got my wife talked into doing this trip with the TT, maybe next year. Sadly, no motorcycle though.

Just got back from this year's final campout. Had about 15 guys out on dual sports using Five Rivers Campground in Parsons WV as basecamp.

Gonna get the camper winterized today.

After over a year with a dead engine in my WR250R and plans to rebuild it, I just dropped it off at a local mechanic. Turnaround time 2-4 weeks.

Why the dead engine, you may ask?

I was working on my junior submariner merit badge when I sucked water into the intake, not being bright enough to shut off the engine when it got too deep (thought I could power through it. lol). I eventually got it running again. Ran about 20 miles until I started hearing some bad knocking, then it died. I'm assuming it's probably a bent connecting rod from trying to compress water in the cylinder.

Then I had an army deployment, and a lot of time spent contemplating rebuilding the engine, but not actually doing it. Lol. Plus I have an FJR1300 to keep me busy... But I'm craving dirt riding!
