ABS

We started out on our maiden voyage with a rented motor home. First day, and 'ABS' light came on. Any ideas of what I should do?

Call the rental company and ask if they will bring another unit out to you so that you can Continue on your way and enjoy your trip. Your check engine light may come on also with the abs light- depends on manufacture.

Usually, it is a problem with the anti lock brake system. This does not mean you have no brakes just that the computer can no longer "pump" the brakes for you in a slick situation. I would just stay away from snowy ski resorts. Lol.

The ABS is sometimes caused by a bad wheel speed sensor. Your normal brakes will work fine but the ABS mode will not.
