Yes. Much like a kiddie pool. Except I'm the kid! I plan on using a little bit of chlorine in it to keep it fresh while it's in use.

Did my NASA calculations: Pool will hold 50 cubic feet, or 375g max. F150's sticker shows cargo capacity of 2,094 lbs. So I can fill it with 191g of water and 500 lbs of human meat. That would be filling it about half way. The human meat will displace water and push water level up to an acceptable level.

Yes the boys did it my truck years ago. Nice pool. After they were done we used the water to water the yard At least they didn't try a pool on our second floor.......

BTW, maybe one of you pickup experts can 'weigh in'! I assume that my 'cargo limit' of almost 2100 lbs for my truck according to sticker (weight of all passengers and cargo cannot exceed...) is for transporting, or dynamic conditions. I wonder if it is possible to have more weight in a static condition and not cause spring damage/suspension damage.

Well, you can't control idiots actually setting up real pools, which results in rules like you've seen. I've seen people have kiddie pools, which is pretty much what this is, no issues. Yeah, you don't dump a large amount of water and flood out your site and/or neighbors, common sense that seems to be lacking.

Thankfully, most people are not building pools in their pickups, so I don't expect to ruffle any feathers.

The hillbilly in me is very intrigued by this. Price is right too. I'd say there's an 87.9% chance one of these lands in my truck bed at some point this year.

Pool bed

We’ve been doing this for years when we go to Ft Desoto in St Petersburg.
Line your bed with a heavy visqueen and fill‘er up. At night I’d cover the bed with an extra sheet to help keep the tree debris and raccoons out. When your done just reach in and cut a slit in the plastic and let it drain. Dry and reuse the plastic.

A fancier version of a redneck hot tub. $10 plastic tarp from Ollie’s (discount store) will do the same. Don’t forget the trolling motor for the true redneck jacuzzi action!

trolling motor, lmao. Actually going to keep it on the lighter side, only put 200g of water into this thing. At first I was disappointed I could not find one with the inflatable sides (easier on back, sitting up against it) that would fill my 6.5' bed. The 5.5' pool is better, I can fill it half way and still be under truck's 2100 lb capacity with a few bathers.

This piece from Duraliner really made me think twice so I don't damage truck suspension.

Anybody else considering getting one of these, DO NOT order from J Green Unlimited, Amazon 3rd party seller. I ordered on 1/11/22, and every week it was supposed to arrive, it kept extending another week, never shipped. Cancelled order the other day and found it new in box on ebay for $7.99, 27 bucks total with shipping, tracking says will be here by Monday. Maybe I can inflate it and fill it with snow....

Yay! Pool came today. Heavier than expected, about 13 lbs. It was -2.5 deg F here this morning. No swimming today.

One must have hope.

Just put some water in it and make a HUGE Ice Cube.

Then pour on some of your favorite spirits.

Hey Kris,
Buy some pool noodles at dollar tree and use them to cushion your back. Get a couple of the six foot ones and cut to three foot lengths. Could actually run some nylon rope through the noodles to fasten several together.

If you're not moving (which you've stated you won't be), I would simply put some jack stands under the frame of the vehicle (not the axle) so that the full weight is not supported by the springs of the vehicle. I've seen springs straighten out after being overloaded & well, i've also replaced many that were broken due to it.
As for getting rid of the water, keep in mind, you probably won't be able to open the tailgate like they did in "father of the year". With that much pressure on it, most likely never be able to release the latches.. & if you do, don't be standing there, cause that tailgate will drop like "insert proper reference here"
