Best Air Compressor
I'm looking for recommendations on the best portable RV air compressor to inflate tires, but also to blow out water lines for winterization. From what I've read, the maximum PSI for blowing out the water lines is 30-50 PSI, so I'm thinking the compressor should have a regulator to limit the output. Thoughts?

I have the VIAir compressor that works for the tires and with an additional regulator and blow out plug a can use it for winterization too. This works well for me and my motorhome.

Another happy Viar owner. Compact and powerful.
When winterizing, I open a faucet before releasing air. Haven't bothered with a regulator. I do have a ball valve on the hose I use to connect the pump to the trailer which I open and close as needed. I do get a lot of exercise when blowing out the lines...

Nothing works better for winterization than a standard air compressor with at least a 20 or 30 gallon tank. The small tire filler compressors simply can't push the needed volume of air needed for blowing out water lines.

Just picked up the Milwaukee 18v cordless. Its pricey, but no cords or generator needed. Portable and it will inflate the TT tires to 110 without a thought.

I carry a Dewalt 6 gallon pancake, 165PSI, 110V/115V portable air compressor with 30 feet of air hose. This is carried in my front basement compartment of the 5er.
Since I only stay at full hook-up sites this dose not present a problem for electrical power. I can adjust the air pressure so, I can inflate any toys or tires as require using the proper air pressure.

Another happy Viar owner.
Even though they cost more, I wish I would have bought one years ago. It would have saved me from wasting money on cheaper compressors. Also got the extra hose, so I can reach everything without having to move the compressor away from the battery.

I’m using a 150 psi electric pancake as well mine is a Porter Cable which is typically $99. I bought this type so I could use it for other things besides winterizing the RV like nail guns, impact wrenches etc. It recovers fairly quickly when winterizing the RV too. I do one line at a time and do each several times.

Amen to that. I have a large upright Sears model I can roll out to RV. On the road, I use a Viaair, like many here.

Viair is a great portable compressor. 12 volts allows it to be used on the side of the road if needed to add air to a tire. Glad we own one for our travels.
