Best mod yet

We have the standard pull out steps on our travel trailer. I just got and installed the Lippert Solid Stance step kit for stability. Wow. If you haven't seen this add on, check it out. Installation was a breeze and it works great. Now, instead of blocks or those screw up stands to stabilize our steps we just drop down the step arms and set their legs and our steps are rock solid. When we're done, close them and they fold up inside the step ready for the next campsite. I'm not trying to make this an ad but I'm just so impressed with this.

Some pictures would be great!

We're thinking about something like this for our RV.

I saw this a few weeks back and considered getting them. My issue is how to reconnect the carpet with the springs? You can't lock the stabilizers up with the springs in the way.

Take the carpet off the bottom step replace it with stick on non-skid

My only fault with installing it on the bottom step is, 'most' bottom steps are hinged a bit differently, meaning they don't have a step below it and it rotates much more freely.

Watch the video and you will actually see the lower step flex upwards when the guy steps on the 2nd step, negating the support.

My folding steps are 4 step and hang out from the R/V a good long way. (think lever)
I use a scissors jack under the 2nd step and it is way more supportive than if I place it under the 1st step. (I've tried it under every step and 2 is the best)

I don't think you could put the Lippert model on the 2nd step as the steps would not fold properly.

If you only have 2 steps, it would likely be a much different scenario.
