Building a maintenance kit for my camper

I am planning my very first camper trip (not my first "camping" trip) and I'm trying to put together a "maintenance kit" for the road. Besides tools what would you recommend?

Here is only some of what I have so far:

Shovel
Bungie Cords
Duct Tape
Electrical Tape
Caulk
Set of Fuses
Various nails/screws/nuts/washers etc
Jumper cables
Zip Ties

What are invaluable items you can't live without? Tow rope? Grease? Whiskey?

Jet pack is for internet.
Pop rivet gun I've used one or twice over the years.
We travel for 6 months out of the year.

we ALWAYS make sure we have a roll of rescue tape and fresh glow sticks with us. green/yellow and red. Rescue tape is a silicone tape that is pressure rated, self fusing, electrically insulated, gas/oil proof. it has saved us SO many times.

Emergency roof repair:

1) role of Eternabond tape (you can find small rolls on amazon) and roller to apply it (or used plastic end of screwdriver to seat the tape in an energency) Also some alcohol wipe pads like lenses cleaner to clean roof to make emergency repairs.
2) tube of proper dicore to match your roof material (plus proper size caulk gun to apply it) (again those lens cleaners allow you to clean before applying)

correct screw driver (called Robertson head) for RV screws.

More thoughts on kit

I’m sure you have considered this but just need to mention:
1.Jack up a wheel and actually take one off. Make sure your jack/lug wrench all fits.
2. Change a fuse in the trailer. Ensure you carry all sizes also.
3. Understand how to change lp tanks.
4. Run your heater and ac to make sure they are working
5. Open all windows, awnings and slides.
6. Hook up sewer and make sure you are good in this area.
7. Have a spare set of ALL keys.
8. Large channel locks

Hope you have a great safe time.

Where do you camp that you have to carry a full inventory of a store? I feel for you. For years my wife packed the MH and friends knew if they needed something just knock on the door. She was known as the Walmart of the paddock. She had two waffle irons and three of everything else. The car trailer was full of parts and tools. Nature of the beast for pack rats.
Happy travels.

What you need for tools varies by how you camp. that said - no list is definitive.

I always have a Leatherman. Much sturdier than a Swiss Army knife.

And a flashlight (with extra batteries).

One small thing I was very glad to have recently -- a slim flashlight that can be held with your mouth when you need both hands.

No matter how complete your kit you're likely to not have whatever it is you need. You'll buy it, then probably never need it again.

Tape

I have carried duct tape for years but I've found that Gorilla Tape Crystal Clear is really, really good stuff.

I do carry several rechargeable LED flashlights but I have found I rarely use them. Instead, I find I use my rechargeable LED headlamp more. It allows use of both hands and the adjustable brightness suits distance illumination when hiking and less illumination for close-up work. Oh...and it can also be set down and used as a regular flashlight!

You won’t have space to haul everything that will be suggested here as previous requests have shown. Once we had a member state in a weight police thread that he carried 1000 pounds of tools on every trip and suggested all others did the same!

When I go to Quartzsite or Gulf Shores for the winter, I take my Ryobi battery tools. Gotta add that JB Weld is sometimes exactly what you need when duct tape doesn't fill the bill.

Air compressor for filling tires. A must.
Generator if you are boondocking.

Just curious, how many times has anyone really used a shovel? I've carried one for years yet it's never left the tool box. Of coarse I use a propane campfire......
