Bunk Rails

Hey guys
We just bought a Vibe T28QB and I need bunk rails. What ideas or what is out there. The bunks are 35w x 75l. I have two small kids and I dont want them falling off the bunks. They still roll out of the bed at the house.

Try stairway banister (railing) material. It's rounded and smooth. Put it low enough they can't get their heads stuck.

I built one for our older unit when my girls were small. I believe it is made out of 1x8 pine and for the main piece and small offcut of some laminate flooring I had in the garage at the time. I did not have a tape handy I think it is between 24 and 30 inches long. I just hit the edges with a bull nose bit to round them off. I tucked this under the mattress and between the lip. It was made big enough that we would slide it into the opening so that the kids would not roll out but then in the day, we could slide it back against the wall. This was on a straight older-style bunk. I hope this helps.

Look on walmart.com or amazon for bed rails..........

https://www.walmart.com/browse/baby/..._414099_670359

We used something similar for our boys in the 1980s and our grandson's in the 2010s.

A quick low-cost is a LOAD SHIFTING bar used by truckers inside vans. They place the bars inside a truckload to hold the cargo in place. Then you could place a blanket or cover over it to keep the steel bar from being exposed. But this would be a quick fix until you could find something more furniture-like and maybe talk with a carpenter.

But understand where men and women may come up with something more suitable. My mom told me she did not have a crib when I was born 75 years ago and placed me into a Chester drawer for the night. Understand it is just a quick temporary fix until you can find some baby rails of some kind.

While searching the internet I found this, and they have them at Walmart, but you may want to check if they have them in stock before you drive. As they may have to order them which would take a few days.
