Clattering Side Shades

When the sun is low while traveling North or South I like to pull down the front side shades a bit (still above mirrors of course) but any slight side to side movement created loud clacking from the bottom metal pull down rail of the shade smacking into the window frame. Slipped a piece of pre-slit pipe insulation over each one. Easy-peasy, cheap and now quiet!

We put small felt self stick pads on the bottom bar. Problem solved.
