Covering bottom of slide-outs with Flex-Seal

I was looking at the underside of the slide-outs and didn't like what I saw. It looked like dried out paper with water stains.While I was doing the inspection, I also spotted a lot of rust on metal parts underneath the RV. I had my wife purchase a 32oz. can of Flex seal and also a spray bottle of Flex Seal. Together they cost over $40. The can had just enough to cover the undersides of all five slide-outs and then some additional coating on the six landing gear pads and some of the I-beam and other metals with surface rust on them. I ran out of the spray can and will need two more bottles to finish up. I'll add some pictures for you to see.

It’s interesting that you use flex seal to cover the bottom of your slide out keep us posted on how well that works if any water or anything gets in between it or does it stick real well or does it start to come off like the product also and I think you came up with a great idea for the bottom of your slide out

My experience with flex seal is that it sticks well and seals well. I have used both the spray and the liquid. The product is not abrasion resistant.

I love the stuff. Anyone who crawls under their camper will see loads of rust on the surface of many of the parts. I tried to coat all of them with one to two coats of flex seal to stop additional rusting. I even put a layer on the axles and shackles . I sprayed some on the kin pin box in the spots that were rusting.

I'm a week or so from taking delivery of a 2022 F-350 to pull our Forest river Cardinal and I will be paying a local Ford dealer to undercoat the truck. Trucks start rusting quickly, especially in states that use salts on their roads.
