I know someone else posted a neat way to see the tank changeover indicator with kind of a "peep-hole" and it spurred me to actually DO what I'd been thinking about for a full season.
I added an actual access hatch using a 4" plastic "Deck Access Plate" designed for boats. A quarter turn and the "hatch" is open. Not only can you see the red/green indicator but there's room for your hand to reach in and switch the lever manually so full flow is restored.
Actual part is available from Amazon for ~$9 I went "top shelf" and spent another couple bucks on stainless steel oval head screws to secure the plate.
I couldn't find the original thread or i would have just added this as a comment. Not "Poo-Pooing" the other member's method, I just wanted a means of accessing the changeover valve without having to remove cover or contorting my hand through the top valve access panel.
For those who are unfamiliar, most RV auto changeover regulators have reduced flow when in "changeover mode" and full flow is restored when the handle is switched to the full tank. Is it a big deal? Could be if every LPG appliance is in use at the same time.
Anyway, just another way to make it easier to see the Red/Green indicator.
