Fishing rod storage

Thought I would share this. Added fishing pole storage in the pass through compartment. Got the idea from Ceiling Mounted Fishing Rod Holder | The Outdoor Boys

Sweet! I can use that turned vertical for storage in my toy hauler! It will hold more than just fishing stuff too like flag pole and brush handles.

I discovered that the overhead cabinets above the recliners in our 5er (which weren't being used anyway) are the PERFECT length for our fishing gear. Just open the far right door and slide them in. There's even enough space for tackle gear.

(I was just standing them up in a tall narrow basket in the shower.)

We put our fishing poles on top of the cabinets in the Stealth TH, but the cabinets in the Jamboree go to the ceiling. I'll have to see if DH is in a woodworking mood, these would be perfect in our pass-through.

Storage for ten rods - now that's my type of camping trip. Great mod - you've got the right priorities.

If you want to buy one, the same rack that Amazon has for $50 is on sale at Cabelas for $14

Lol. He is the OP. I think he's looking to see what others have done.

This isn't my pic but its what I'm doing when the summer comes. It's not as pretty as your wood rack but a bit simpler. Click image for larger version

Resurrecting this old thread to show my cheaper easier uglier version.

I truly respect the OP's skills, but just don't have the time to invest.

That looks nice and simple and cheap dad of two. I like the idea, just may have to steal it.

Thanks.

I used staples to hold the rope, but only had 1/4", so may have to redo it at some point.

The hardest part was crawling in there...
