well, black tank is for the toilet.
gray tanks are for kitchen sink and usually bathroom sink.

gray tanks fill much faster than black tanks.

you should have two gate valves, one for black and one for gray.
some RVs have two gray tanks, one for bathroom sink and one for kitchen sinks.

suggest you do a search here on both. or Google them or YouTube them.

Go to Forest River RV Web site and find your make of RV. Might not find your year as it is older. Then look for manuals and videos. Should find several to help you out.

The two gate valves should be a black one and a grey one so you will know the difference. Some campers have them labeled. Later RJD

May need to run hot water valve at sink to get it to "call" for hot water, then it may work.

Just turn on at kitchen faucet, make sure knob is out of pilot position to on position, if it still does not work you probably need a new thermocouple.

Is there an on off switch by the sink area? My old fleetwood had a on off switch for the water heater hip high just in front of the sink. I don't know why it had one on wall under the tank level readings. But it did. Are you at a campground? If this is all new to you ask your neighbor for assistance.

Any good season camper would be glad to assist.

As Sheldon would say on Big Bang Theory, convention would dictate offering a cold beverage🎉

My old Fleetwood. I had the white switch in front of sink that needed to be on for WH to work. Although I was always able to light piglet no matter whether switch was on or not. But needed switch on to get hot water.

I'm at home and testing and repairing , I bought an oldie that was collecting dust for a few years. So far so good it's in decent shape. I just have a little TLC to do here. I'll upload pics.

So far the toilet has a leak and the part was 25$ , the water heater won't start correctly, yet and a seal under the kitchen sink seems to leak but I think a tighten will take care of that. All that sitting around may have dried and shrunk the seals is my guess. The AC, heat and faucets , showers , toilets seem ok - I think I can get this oldie to perform eventually and I don't think it will be too expensive, crossing my fingers. No leaks on roof, floors are solid and no mold , this is what matters the most to me.

It looks good. Has same floor plan my old Fleetwood had. If leak around sink drain you could always take it out and use new plumbers putty on drain. Maybe plastic ring in the culling is broken. Even if your water heater is bad if you got the trailer at good price a new water heater in less than $300. And you will still be ahead of the game.

I paid 2500$ for it , not great but not bad either considering pop ups with no Ac and bathroom go for that much around here. I really like it ...

That's a good price. I used to say when I had my old one that I had just as much fun with my oldie but goodie as the ones that had the new ones.

Of course then I bought a motorcycle and had to upgrade to a toy hauler. We enjoyed the heck out of our old used camper. By the time your done you will know every square inch of it.

How's your awning? I replaced the one on my old trailer a year before I sold it. I had to replace the whole mechanism due to storm snapping it in two. Was pretty easy to install.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I could not take down the awning , I have to figure that out next. In case I do replace I think I will go with manual. I think it's cheaper , right?

Yes much so. Plus you would have to go in the side to get power to it and fun wires. It would be a task.

You should have a long metal rod that has an L on the end. On the right hand side of the awening roller their is a little flip toggle switch. It should say on the toggle which way to flip it for Dow and which for up. You would dip it to the down selection. Then ther should be two black clasp half way between on the uprights. Squeeze the sides of the black edges and this will unlock the uprights. Then there is a strap with a loop on the end that you put that L piece into an start pulling to you until fully extended. Then you have adjustments on both sides to raise and adjust it so you don't catch with your door. Then you do it just opposite to put it back up. Just make sure before you flick the toggle to up you have ahold of the strap or the thing is going to go flying.

I'm sure if you go to Domatic website they have how to videos.
