I don't bother mounting mine. I just toss it on the dash when I'm about to cruise thru the tolls. Call your EZE-Pass folks and have them send you a new one. Yours is messed up.

Have used EZ pass for a number of years without any problems. Transponder is mounted high on the windshield, behind the rearview mirror. Use the same location on our truck and car.

Sun Pass is good all over the state on all toll roads.

Another interesting article says they have to be nationwide usable by 01Oct2016.

Supposedly, EZ Pass now links your license plate number to your account, so if you forget your transponder in another vehicle and drive through the EZ Pass lane anyway, it will still be charged to your account as usual. Not sure I believe this though.

How does it charge you for car or motor home rate or the highest. I was told because motor home class c has dual wheels I could not use it in pick up or car. I'm in PA

When I applied I gave them the specifics for truck and 5er. Made sure I only used it when pulling. I think on the whole month long trip I stopped and paid toll once when we where in truck only. But it made life easy when we where hooked up! If I wanted one for truck only coulda got one but felt the one was sufficient and it was.

I read that if you give your truck license plate and your TT that it will tell the difference when your just in truck and when hauling trailer. It counts axels and plate number. I will know more soon because signing up for it. PA

In Florida you are charged by # of axles. There are strips in the road that count your axles, not number of tires..

I have the EZ pass mounted low on my windshield resting on my dash in my 3051. It works good.

Sign up for a NC Quickpass lic mount. Quickpass will work on all east coast toll systems. Sunpass, Peachpass and EzPass systems. We have used ours from Florida to Maine this summer without any problems.

That doesn't seem to be in place yet. According to the Sentinel newspaper article linked in this thread:
Quote:
Officials hope these deals will lead to agreements with states that use the much bigger E-Zpass, which has more than 20 million transponders in circulation in 14 states. They include: Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.

Such a reciprocal system is required to be in place nationwide by Oct. 1, 2016.
The coverage map on the E-ZPass website at E-ZPass Group - About E-ZPass shows that SC, GA, and FL are outside the E-ZPass Network, and says,
Quote:
Please note: States outside the E-ZPass Network are not connected in any way with the E-ZPass Network. E-ZPass transponders will NOT work in those states, nor will those states' transponders work in states within the E-ZPass Network.
They're not shown on the map, but I don't believe that E-ZPass works on the OK or KS Turnpikes, either, or on the toll road around the east side of Denver.

The system we have in Illinois works like that. I have one transponder but two different vehicles are linked to it. It reads my license plate with no problem.

The image from the website is blurry but if I am reading it correctly it is not EZ Pass.

It looks like E Pass, no Z.
