I need a TV satellite locator app
Looking for suggestions for a useful TV satellite locator app. The app I had been using for years has stopped working for some reason. Thought about reloading but I can't even find the app to do so. The app I had used worked through the camera, allowing me to see if I my antenna had a clear view to the satellites. I'll probably start trying different apps but I thought someone may have a good suggestion to narrow the search.

I use Satellite Finder. Works great and you can pick the sats you want to see.

TV Signal Finder is an app from Winegard. It will give Satellite and OTA locations. It will give you Sat locations using compass and altitude settings or will work with the camera to show the Satellites in the sky. It works for Bell, Direct, Dish and Shaw. Pretty good app IMO.

Of course the trouble with many of the apps is you have to have data reception. So be sure to bring an old fashion compass when in areas w/o a cell signal

If you have Dish, they have an app that shows only their 3 Satelite using your camera phone, it works well. It’s called Dish-My RV Satellite Finder

Thanks for sharing the post for the TV Signal Finder app. I like it and it seems easy to work.

I just realized the same thing! It is stuck in offline mode and there are several comments by others having the same problem. And you can no longer find it in the appstore. I probably haven't used it in a year as everywhere we have gone I already knew where to place the dish and there is no cell service anyway
So I'm glad for all the hints on new ones from this thread! Thanks!

I use it too. Also tells you the location of TV towers for regular TV reception.

If I'm not mistaken they charge you $9.99 for the app. You would think if you're a customer it would be free, IMHO.

You are correct, it's an Apple App. Another good reason to stick with Android.

Sat Scope works great and it’s free. Available for both Android and iPhones.
