Insurance on a TT

Hi Everyone,
We just purchased a TT - 2014 Wildwood x-lite 185rb. How much insurance coverage do people carry & how much is your annual rate?
Thanks,
Laura

I have it through USAA. I think I pay around $250 a year for full coverage.

We have ours as an add-on for our truck, car, and house through State Farm. Full coverage for us is a little over $300 a year.

We had been paying a little over 300 a year for everything. This renewal it jumped to almost 400. And the trailer just keeps getting older and more depreciated.

Two years ago I bought a new 21rr and bought insurance from Progressive for about $250 a year. This year they sent me a premium notice for $349 a year. Despite no claims, no accidents, no tickets and the camper has depreciated in value. I am looking for a new insurance company. By the way I had my Polaris rzr insured with them and they did the same thing with it after two years. No claims or changes there either. I switched the rzr to Geico.

We have had no claims either. Guess we're paying for the ones who did.

I don't know what you mean by full coverage? Does that include replacement cost or ACV? Sometimes when adding an RV to an auto policy in the case of a total loss they only pay ACV. When I was looking for RV insurance in February 2012, I was told to get an RV policy and not just add the RV to an auto policy. They told me this was important if the RV was financed because if you don't put a huge down payment, you will owe more then the ACV and should it be a total loss you owe a lot more then ACV. Good Luck

Had to recheck my policy, it is much lower than $250 year. I think it was about $60. That was added on to my car and house policy. Hopefully I wont have to use it.

We are paying around $140/yr and that is with the $14/yr awning coverage (our awning is 21ft long and power). That is just for our TT as both our vehicles are company vehicle insured through our company.

I had full coverage on my old trailer and I think I paid around $250, It had 4 branches go through the roof and was really surprised they paid a lot more than I was going to sell it for. One of those real needs to protect your investment. My new one will always have full coverage on it . Also make sure the insurance you get includes the awning .

Yeah, I'm getting hosed through State Farm. I'm going shopping after I talk to my agent tomorrow.

I was looking for someone with Good Sam insurance. We're about to go full time in our fifth wheel. We've had USAA on our house, motorcycle, car and now truck and RV. But we've sold the motorcycle, the house, and about to sell the car. We just got an advertisement from the RV owners advisory from good Sam club. They have a pretty strong marketing campaign to win our business. I wanted to make sure it wasn't smoke and mirrors. You really don't know how good a policy is until you need it. From your short time, are you satisfied?

Hmmmm, I'm paying C$80 per month with a $1000 deductible for a Cedar Creek 38FL. Looks like I should start shopping around some more.

We have USAA on our SB, and everything else we own. That covers the unit itself, replacement value etc. I can't remember the exact numbers but we wouldn't have a problem going out and getting it replaced with the same or nicer. But, we also carry renter's insurance (At USAA's recommendation due to our situation) to cover everything that is inside. We live in it, so most of our belongings are in it. I've been with USAA for years, and won't go any other route regardless. They've treated me excellent. There are other great providers as well, but I've never met an unhappy USAA customer.
