Need Help 3 Hurr. leaks BUT
Hey all, My 2017 FR Rockwood 2902ws TT has survived 3 hurricanes now in Coastal N.C. with no leaks except small amount of water in a tail light and 2 markers. Our neighbor's Jayco TT did not do so well. Both TT same age, seals maintained on both. I realize there is butyl tape behind the light bases. We want to lay a thin bead on the top edges of where the light's lens and base meet. Using a caulk that matches the rest of TT. The caulking used on my side hatches/windows appears to be silicone and is holding up great but am unsure what it really is. Are products out there that mimic clear silicone but are something better ??? What does the factory use??? No Dicro on my Rockwood.
Have hear alot of talk about ProFlex , what is it, is it clear & non-sag.
The Jayco appears to have leaked inside where roof membrane meets the gutter. There is no caulking at this seam on both TTs but there may be butyl behind gutters. We want to run a bead along the gutter top edge / roof seam of both TTs. I've seen some Very UGLY DYI jobs on this area, what would be a good caulking for this area. The roofs are TPO upon which we use Alpha, gutters are Alum/plastic. Hoping to find a clear product that will last and stick using a thin bead. Want it to look like factory caulked it. I have the skill, need a good product. Rockwood says Alpha but dirt sticks to it over time and tends to change color but it is great on roof out of sight.
